Dark Canyon Mountain Man Bronze Sculpture

pack train bronze sculpture In the late 1800's a man named John Plute packed out a large set of elk antlers. Those antlers became the well known record set from the Dark Canyon area of Colorado. Scott celebrates that moment in history with this pack train bronze sculputure.

"Dark Canyon" is richly complimented with a combination of standard and other patina colors and highlights. This magnificent bronze sculpture was a labor of love, taking nearly one year to complete.

Scott researched the elements needed to make this sculpture as true a depiction of an 1800 pack train as possible.

Every detail of this bronze sculpture captivates the imagination. The horse and mule anatomy are brilliant with rippling muscle structure and faces light with realism. The horse tack and pack gear offer many points to study and ponder. If you are looking for a sculpture that sparks the imagination this is the bronze to own.
